Creating a fashion business out of a passion for fashion is something we could all dream. But for Faith Kabende it is something that came into reality as she planned it out and worked hard to see her passion and dream come true together with a vision to make an impact on the Zambian fashion scene and the determination to help promote Zambian culture through fashion. Today on Spotlight we feature Faith Mulenga kabende.
Faith Mulenga Kabende was born in Luanshya, Zambia. She found her passion for fashion at a young age and when she was about 15 years old she would make her own clothes that she would wear at school on civilian day.
Faith completed high school in 1995 at Luanshya Girls Secondary School and later on studied Marketing at Evelyn Hone College, when she completed she worked for ZAMTEL. While working, she used to design clothes in her free time, but later on she realized that she was getting more positive feedback for her designs from clients who were mostly friends at the time. She decided to quit her job to start her fashion business full time.
